Medical Outreach at Mukuyu Friends Church

Our health teams continue to reach out into the community to find and support those needing medical attention. On 26th September, we held a successful integrated medical outreach at Mukuyu Friends Church in Kabuchai Sub-County, made possible through the partnership between CBM Global and IcFEM.

The outreach offered a wide range of much-needed services, including general consultations, eye screening and free reading glasses, optometry, mental health and psychological counselling, orthopaedic reviews, physiotherapy, and pharmacy services.

Screenings help identify issues early, before they become severe or costly to treat. Something as simple as receiving reading glasses can transform daily life and work. Additionally, meeting people where they live shows that IcFEM cares about families beyond its walls.

Regular outreaches create a culture of health awareness too. People learn when to seek care, how to manage chronic conditions and where to find support – leading to healthier households over time. We are grateful to everyone who made the outreach possible, including the medical teams, volunteers, partners, and community members who participated.
