As the BELIEVE Project (Bungoma Enhanced Localized Inclusive, Efficient, Vision Engagement) continues its mission to make eye care accessible to everyone, we pause to celebrate the many ways we’ve seen progress and provision over the past season.

A highlight has been the distribution of Arc-light equipment to four sub-county hospitals, along with hands-on training for staff. This simple but powerful tool is helping health workers detect eye conditions more easily and offer better care. We’re thankful too for the training of Level 2 and 3 health staff in primary eye care, strengthening the first line of support for community members seeking help.

In addition, 45 Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) facilitators completed training to provide home-based rehabilitation—bringing support directly to families who need it most.

Finally, we celebrate the strengthening of referral systems within communities, ensuring that people with eye health needs are connected to the right services quickly and smoothly.

These milestones remind us that meaningful change happens step by step, through partnership, dedication, and shared hope. We look forward to even greater impact in the months ahead.
